Do Eco-Friendly cleaners work as good as the chemical ones?

I would love to remove all chemicals in my house because I have many animals including birds whom are free (they do have restrictions as to where they can go).
But I also like to have a thoroughly clean house with germ free surfaces. Does anybody have any ideas or helpful information?

In many cases, the eco-friendly cleaners work as well and sometimes even better.

For instance, I don’t use glass cleaner: I use vinegar and water. I understand that’s also a good disinfectant.

My daughter would tell you they work better, she just did her science fair project and compared eco-friendly home made cleaners to the synthetics. I was surprised by the results( I helped her with her project ) homemade ones actually worked better.

IME they work BETTER. Especially the homemade ones. Lemon juice and baking soda works AWESOME as a toilet cleaner.
