What is the problem with going green except that most of the people who are pushing going green live in cities where they can’t grow their own food and still consume a lot more than most of my friends who live in the Country. I have relatives that are not just going green but are living green by living very simple lifestyles including growing and canning their own food.

One problem is going green isn’t easily defined and there are contradictory studies about the effect of various aspects of going green. Part of the reason for the contradicting information is large corporations pay big money on research that will give the answer the want. So they are able to convince people to keep doing the things they are doing instead of taking action so we have a healthy environment in the future. Corporations also have a lot of influence in politics, they pay lobbyists a lot of money to sway votes in a direction that will help their profits.
